Process description:
The rolling gate opens automatically and a new pallet (max. 1,200 x 1,000 x 1,375) is inserted into a centering device. Once the gate has closed, the robotic palletizer measures the pallet position using the sensors on the grabber. The program for depalletizing the stacks of blanks is started. The layered stacks are removed by one or two grabbers, placed on to an aligning station, and aligned. The aligning station first aligns the stacks of blanks along their length and width and then passes them onto a conveyor belt.
On plants with vacuum grabbers, 3 stacks of blanks can be removed at the same time and placed directly onto a conveyor belt. Once all the stacks in a layer have been processed, the intermediate layer is removed and placed into a cabinet/box.
The new layer is measured and processed. This process is repeated until the entire pallet is empty.
